The Crazy Old Woman And The Sky (Indian Folktale)

A very long time ago sky was not so high like it is now, in fact people could touch it from the roof of their houses . The sky was happy and so were the people.
There lived a crazy woman in a small, old, dusty village.The old woman lived alone in a cozy mud- hut. She had nothing to do but for sweeping, dusting, rubbing her hut and her household things.

One day a big dust storm came and there was dust everywhere. Dust on the roofs, dust on trees ,dust in the fields, dust in houses,dust everywhere.

The old woman got crazier to see so much dust and she started sweeping the dust . The sweeping made the dust to flow up and it went into the eyes of sky. Tears came in the eyes of sky because of dust particles and those tears dropped on the ground.

The crazy old woman got so angry with the sky to make her place wet and she poked the sky with her broom-stick . Poor sky got hurt and cried more with pain. The cruel woman again poked the sky. No other way was left for sky except going up. It went up and up and "That is why the sky is so high."

"ADORABLE SANTA"

Every one is eagerly waiting for Santa to come and spread the happiness all over the world.Kids are excited ,they want to see Santa and they want to get their share of happiness from him.
So dear children, Santa is favorite of all of you and you love him so much . Am I right? This kind looking ,old,big, cheerful man who has white hair and white beard and wears a red dress and is supposed to bring gifts for kids is also known as father Christmas or Saint Nicholas. It is believed that Santa lives in north pole with his wife and some elves who make toys for the good kids of the world. Santa has a reindeer to pull his sledge.
People believe that Santa makes a list every year, which contains the names of good and bad children and it is said that he gives the gifts to well-behaved and good kids and coal to the naughty children on the Christmas eve . It is also believed that he enters in the house of good children through the chimneys of fireplace.
"'Saint Nicholas"' inspired the legend of Santa Claus. Saint Nicholas lived in 4th century AD who used to give the gifts ,secretly to needy people and children. People left their shoes out for him and he put coins in the shoes. Isn't it amazing?

My dear children, I want to share with you a beautiful incident of my college life. One of my friend was very good in drawing sketches. Every one was so impressed with her talent of drawing. She did the course of sketching and drawing. One day me and that friend of mine were sitting in the common room of hostel , many other girls were also there. I was reading a film magazine and saw a beautiful picture of Demi Moore ( my favorite Hollywood actress ) "Look , isn't she looking stunning in this picture!" . "Yes , really she looks so pretty!", my friend said .

"Can you draw a sketch of her ?" , I asked to my friend. "Yes of course", she said and took out her drawing book , pencil , blotting paper, scale and eraser from her bag and started making the sketch. Just for fun I also started making the drawing of that picture. After few minutes I realized that I was drawing so nicely. That thought made me confident and I continued drawing. And trust me I made such a beautiful sketch, even some of the girls said that I made a better sketch than my friend. I could not believe ,that I could make a sketch like that. It was a hidden talent of mine and I was not aware of that. Now I make sketches and I feel so good when I draw something on paper , it makes me happy.
Actually we all have talents, abilities and qualities and sometimes are unaware of them. It could be-
DRAWING

SINGING

FOOTBALL PLAYING

WRITING

PAINTING

DANCING

or any thing else. Always try to recognize your talents, your skills, your qualities and your abilities and use them in the best way. It is up to you that either you want to keep your talent as a hobby or you want to make it your profession.
But one thing is for sure, that if you use your talent in a better way it will help to bloom your personality and will boost your self- esteem.
Most importantly it will make you feel happy and confident .Is not that wonderful ? So bloom like a rose and shine like a star and be happy.

''NEVER TRUST A STRANGER" ( Moral Story )

Once upon a time there was a crane who lived by the side of a beautiful lake. The lake was full of fishes ,crabs and other water animals . The crane was quite lazy and did not want to make any effort to get the food for himself ,he wanted to get his food very easily and always thought about that.

One day by chance a crab came near the side of the lake , the cunning crane saw him and said in a sad voice, " Oh dear crab I feel so sorry for you, your family and friends ". "But why? Why do you feel sorry for us ?"The crab asked him who was not aware of the fact that the crane was actually making a plan and was using him.

" Dear friend , yesterday I met a fortune-teller who told me that This lake will be dead in next few days and all the creatures living in the lake will also lose their lives because of that".
"Oh , no! It is really such a bad news, I should tell it to my family and friends immediately '', Crab said.
"Don't be panic , please, I can help you all to survive ,I do not want to see you all dead .'' "Please tell me how can you help us''? Crab asked to the crane .
"There is a very good lake , not very far away from here , I can take all of you there one by one and you can live there safely. "
"Oh, you are so kind , you will save our lives ". The crab went into the lake to tell all the animals, what the crane said . The poor innocent creatures decided that they will leave the lake one by one with the help of crane .

The crane said that he will take the fishes first , and he started carrying the fishes on his back and instead of saving them he ate them all . He was so happy that his plan was successful.

One day the crab said to the crane " Dear friend please take me with you today''. The crane who had got bored of eating fishes daily and wanted to eat some other animal , agreed to take the crab with him. The crab sat on his back and the crane flew in the sky. After some time crab asked ''How far is the new lake''?The crane answered ''There is no lake you fool , I lied to you to eat you all.Now it is your turn to die , I will eat you today."
Though the crab was frightened he gathered all his courage and grabbed the neck of crane with his claws and said '' Take me back to my home otherwise I will kill you ".The crane had no other choice and he flew back.
When the crane landed on the lake shore the crab jumped into the lake and saved his life . He told all the other creatures about the misdeed of the greedy crane and they all learned the lesson that one should ''Never Trust A Stranger''

Chocolate is made from the seed of "Theobroma Cacao" tree .

The Cacao has been cultivated in 'Mexico', 'Central America' and 'Northern South America'.The seeds of Cacao have a bitter taste and need to be fermented to get the flavor. Once the seeds are fermented,they are dried,cleaned and roasted.The shell is removed to get the chocolate nibs.

These nibs are ground to cocoa mass, which is rough form of chocolate. The rough chocolate needs to be liquefied . The liquid is called chocolate liquor.This liquid is molded to form the chocolate.

The benefits of eating chocolate are that it reduces the risk of cancer , lowers blood pressure and prevents coughing and heart diseases.

Harms of chocolate are that it may cause obesity, headache,acne and tooth decay.
So my dear children eat chocolate, but in moderation.As we all know excess of everything is bad .

An Honest Friend Is a Good Friend

"Oh my God how lovely you are looking in this dress , pink color suits you so well" . A girl says to her friend . "Ah! look at you , you are looking like a rock star in your new hair cut' . A boy compliments his friend ." Your maths project is cool boss , you will sure get ten on ten on the chart", A friend tells to another. But do they really mean it ? Are that boy and girl actually looking so good? Is the math project good enough to get perfect ten ? Or their friends are saying this" just to please them" ?

Now look at the other side of picture." Your pink dress is o.k but I think an orange colored dress will suit you more", a girl says to her friend. "I am sorry bro but your old hair style was better than this hair cut ", a boy said to his closest friend . "Your maths project is nice but not good enough to get ten on ten ,you should add some more solved sums to it" . A friend gives advice to his friend ."Honest and frank opinions".
