One day the donkey was going somewhere, in the middle of the way he met a fox. They greeted each other and began to talk, they found that they had almost same interests and they became very good friends.
Fox told him about the pumpkin farms where there were a lot of sweet and ripe pumpkins. He said to the donkey," Dear friend, you are stronger than me so you can easily break the fence of the fields. In this way we can eat and enjoy the fresh pumpkins at night ". Now, it became their routine to go to the pumpkin farms and eat the sweet pumpkins as much as they wanted.
The fox said, " O.k. you are not listening to me so sing at your own risk. I am going out of the field and he went out.
Donkey started singing, " La la la lala.....", in such a loud voice. The farmer woke up and began to beat the donkey with a thick stick. Donkey forgot to sing and cried in pain. Fox was watching all the drama from outside the field but could do nothing for his friend.
Donkey the singer was punished for his singing!

ReplyDeleteThank you so much :)
ReplyDeleteI think I should stop singing too or pretty soon my neighbors will be running after me with a thick stick!!
ReplyDeleteIn my case though it is more like "If you dont know how to sing, then stop singing!" lol
nice story aunt Mary (did that rhyme?)
Ha ha ha , thank you so much Nina for the pretty comment .
ReplyDeleteYes that rhymed very well :)
I love singing too.
ReplyDeleteI probably should be more careful opting somewhere to sing.
hehe
interesting story. I love it.
Thank you Happy for liking the story .
DeleteWe should really be careful about that :)
That's so true Aunt Mary. We do need to listen to good advice, but the dilemma always happens when you are not sure if it is good advice or not, so some of us will endure many beatings, ha ha ha.
ReplyDeleteHello RPD, well in this story fox given a very good advice but donkey did not listen him because he was a over confident fool . I think we should listen to our friend or well wisher sometimes if the person is wiser than us or understands the things better than us ;)
DeleteThis one brought me several smiles :-)
ReplyDeleteI am happy TO SEE YOU SMILING :)
DeleteHey, Auntie!
ReplyDeleteI agree that it is always good to follow good advices.
Anyway, sometime it is a good thing to make our own experience even if that brings some beating as a prize! :)
Well I will prefer to follow the good advice because I do not want that some one beat me up with a thick stick :)
DeleteThe donkey should learn the correct technique of stealing! Rule no. 1, no noise! I'm just kidding, Aunt Mary.
ReplyDeleteYou have a nice story here teaching us to take heed of advices when necessary. Sometimes, the ego might be at the top notch, so it's not surprising when we tend to follow the head not the heart'
Wishing you a great day, too! :)
Yes you are right , but a donkey is always a donkey what we can say :)
DeleteAS human we have a brain thank god, so we can think and follow the good advices :)
love that donkey!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your kind visit ;)
DeleteNice story Aunt Mary, but I kept thinking the fox would eat the donkey! I'm glad it had a nicer (in a way!) ending.
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much Barbara for reading and liking ;)
