THE BEST REWARD!

Once upon a time a small girl lived with her parents and little baby sister in a village. The village was near the woods. They lived in a small hut with their pet hens. The girl's father was a woodcutter. It was a really hard job to do. Many times the hands of woodcutter got injured or hurt during cutting the wood. The girl felt sad for her father because he worked so hard to earn their living. The little girl wanted that her father should get some easier work to do.
One day, one of their hens ran towards the woods so the girl ran behind the hen to catch her. When the girl was passing by near the plants she heard a very low and feeble voice coming from a plant which was full of flowers, "Please help me to get out of here!It will be very kind of you". The girl saw that a little butterfly fairy was sitting upon a flower. The girl couldn't believe her eyes, that she was seeing a butterfly fairy! First she got a little scared but after that she went near her and asked, " What is the matter little fairy?". Fairy replied, "My wing has got stuck in the thorn of this plant. Will you please help me?". Very carefully the girl let her wing out of the thorn. Little butterfly fairy thanked her. Meanwhile, mother fairy also came there to search for her daughter. Little butterfly fairy told everything to her mother.
Mother fairy said, "Thank you so much kind girl, you saved my daughter's life. I am not the fairy who makes the wishes come true but I am giving you something that will help you a lot!"

" Here is the necklace of the 'Queen of State'. Sometime ago she came to visit the woods and lost her necklace here. The servants of king tried a lot to search for the necklace but couldn't find it. I am giving it to you , if you return this necklace to the queen she will be very happy with you". The girl took the necklace and went home with her hen.
She showed the necklace to her parents and told them what had happened in the woods. Next day, the girl with her family went to the king's court and returned the necklace to the queen. The queen became very happy to find her lost necklace. She was very pleased with the little girl and was very impressed by her honesty. She then said to the girl, "I will give you a big reward for your good deed". The girl very politely, said to the queen," Your highness , I request you to give my father a job because I do not want him to cut the woods any more. This will be my biggest reward!". Queen smiled and said "I appreciate you little girl, for the love and concern you have for your father ". The girl's father being a woodcutter had a great knowledge about plants and trees so the queen gave him the job of the caretaker of gardens of the royal palace.
The girl was so happy for her father because now there would be no more injuries or hurts on the hands of her dear father! The little butterfly fairy sometimes, watched the girl and her family from the fairyland and felt very good to see them living a cheerful and happy life.

"GRAPES ARE SOUR!" ( Rhyme)

There was a big and fat hungry cat,
She was looking for eating some rat.

There came a little mouse just by chance,
Cat was happy to get his glance...

She made effort to catch that rat,
All efforts failed of hungry, fat cat.

She got tired and said to herself,
It is not worth eating that naughty elf.

"Not even enough for my one bite,

I didn't eat him, I did right!"

UNFAITHFUL FRIEND ( Moral Story)

Once there were two  men who were very good friends . People of the village always gave their example whenever there was a talk about friendship. Both of them used to be together all the time.
One of them was a little fat and bulky and the other one was slim and fit. Together they looked a little funny but they were very happy to be friends with each other.
One day there was a function in another village. Both the friends were invited there, so they set out on their journey to that village. In between the two villages there was a forest and they had to cross that forest in order to reach their destination. While they were walking through the forest they saw that a big, dangerous bear was coming
behind them. Seeing the bear the friend who was slim immediately started running very fast without caring about his friend though the fat friend was crying and calling him, " Please friend, don't leave me alone! Take me with you, I can't run so fast". He couldn't run fast because he was quite fat and over-weight.  But his friend did not listen and quickly climbed up a tree. The bear was coming closer and closer ,the fat man lied on the ground and held his breath.  When the bear came near him he thought that the man was dead so he went away from there.
The fat man's friend climbed down from the tree and asked him in a mocking way , "What did the bear say to you?" because he wanted to end this incident in a joke and wanted his friend to forget it. But the fat man now understood well that his friend will always deceive him when he will be in trouble. He said to his friend, " The bear told me that your friend is very unfaithful. Do not believe him ever in your life".

WE CAN SAVE SPARROWS ( Short Article)

My dear children, have you seen the little beautiful brown-grey bird named 'SPARROW'.It is very sad that sparrows are dying because of environmental changes, lack of food, cutting down of trees and increased use of pesticides and fertilizers.
We can save this amazing native bird by following these easy steps-

1)We can provide sparrows homes by simply hanging a shoe box on our terrace or in our balcony. You can drill a hole in it about 4 centimeter in diameter so that sparrows can make their nest in the box.

2)In summer plenty of sparrows die because of lack of water. We can put some water in a bowl and should fill it with fresh water every day.
3)Birds also need water for bathing so you can keep some water for that purpose also.

4)Keep some broken rice in an open space for birds to feed.
Kindly don't feed sparrow stale food.

We can save many sparrows if we follow these small, easy steps. We can prevent our little native bird from vanishing by doing this noble cause.
Sparrows have the habit to return to the same place each time they feel the need for food, water and shelter. They will come back to fulfill their needs, they will come back to the place where someone cares for them.
                                     Happy Sparrow day
